1983 Apple Keynote-The “1984″ Ad Introduction

Here we see Steve Jobs at a keynote in 1983 showing for the first time ever the famous “1984″ ad by Ridley Scott to an exclusive audience. The ad was shown on tv shortly after that only once during the 1984 Superbowl & never aired again & is considered to be one of the greatest ads of all time.

Enjoy!!

decades latter, the work with IBM to develop the PowerPC microarchitecture. Not even two decades latter, they abandon it.

PowerPC is now no where to be found in microcomputers. You can find it in ultra high end servers (which is being eaten at by x86) in game consoles (for who knows how long), but no where else.

The audiance is typical brainwashed mac fans they cheer at the end but all they saw was a marketing commercial by Ridley Scott but Jobs never said a word about the new computers hardware specs.

@nathan8BIT Apple copied the Alto personal computer that was in use at Xerox PARC and created the Macintosh. Apple did not create “the window GUI environment” It was created by Alan Kay, Larry Tesler, Dan Ingalls @ Xerox PARC.
